Today, many liquids are supplied in a variety of containers, from carboys, 210 litre drums, 1000 litre IBCs to even larger tanks. It is imperative that these can be emptied quickly, safely, efficiently and economically which is why commonly a barrel or drum pump is used. A Barrel / drum pump often sits in the container containing the fluid to be pumped and the motor rests on top of the container. There is an outlet on the top of the pump which a hose is connected and a trigger nozzle to allow the transfer of the liquid in a controlled, efficient and safe manner. There is also an option to add a flow meter to control how much liquid is transferred
