Process Water Pumps Page 2

Water transfer and dosing pumps for all industrial processes

Process water pumps are up there with the most common of requests due to the shear amount of applications that involve water. Typically uses include tank emptying, circulating, transferring water from one container to another and supply and distribution of water throughout a building or on a production line. Process water can be pure water, salt water or even a water based solution with some degree of chemical in. For that reason, the specification of the pump will vary in terms of its materials and design. For high flow, low pressure requirements centrifugal pumps are usually the preferred solution, whereas for high pressure process water applications a multistage or side channel pump is more suited.

Industrial Case Studies

Process waste water pumps are used to transfer water left over from a manufacturing or industrial process, which may contain small amounts of oil, chemical residue or small shards of metal or plastic. In these applications, pumps able to handle abrasive solid content and chemicals need to be specified.
