Biogas Pumps

Need some advice? Our technical sales engineers are always on hand!

Digester pumps for biomass, manure & organic waste

Over the last few years, biogas or anaerobic digestion, as it is otherwise known, has become an increasing market Castle Pumps have provided biomass pump solutions for. Whether it’s liquid manure or viscous food waste and vegetation, there’s one thing to be sure of, and that’s that you need a heavy duty, high pressure digester pump capable of handling solids without clogging. Certain pump types such as centrifugal pumps struggle with thicker fluids due to frictional losses inside the pump causing flow rates to rapidly decline, whereas we know the other pump designs that excel under such conditions. When it comes to handling viscous biowaste, getting the wrong pump can result in clogging and expensive, regular wear. That’s where Castle Pumps are here to help you.

Past Biomass Pump Project

Our technical application experience means that we have been working with customers just like you when it comes to their biogas pumps.

Read this case study to find out how we helped a food waste management company transfer a highly viscous, solid laden bran mix. We specified a peristaltic pump, ideal for handling such a fluid without clogging thanks to the only component in contact with the fluid being the inner hose, complete with gear reducer for full control over motor speed.
