The Azcue AN VP/EP Centrifugal Self Priming Pump is essentially the AN long coupled centrifugal pump complete with either a vacuum or electric priming pump for installations with difficult suction conditions. The vacuum priming pump would be the better solution for longer suction distances thanks to its ability to dry run for short periods of time.

The AN is a large, heavy duty horizontal centrifugal pump with good flow and pressure capabilities. As it is long coupled, this model of centrifugal water pump is easier to maintain as you can access the pump head without having to remove the motor first, and is also more robust for continuous use thanks to the additional bearings in the pump head to share the strain of operation.

Based on DIN 24255, the Azcue AN is manufactured dimensionally the same as other pumps allowing the direct replacement of existing single stage centrifugal pumps from other manufacturers, for applications involving clean fluids such as water and low viscosity fuels. As it can be supplied with a double mechanical seal cooling system, fluids are able to be handled up to 190°C which makes the AN suitable as a thermal oil pump.

This series of self priming centrifugal pump have a back pull out design, which allows the motor to be removed without disconnecting the pump from the pipework, and maintenance to be less time consuming and complex. Thanks to the wear rings, there is small clearance between the impeller and pump casing, preventing wear to these parts. Wearing rings are designed to be replaced every now and then, preventing the more expensive replacement of the impeller or casing. 

These Azcue pumps also have separate shafts in the pump head and motor meaning that if there is ever an issue with one shaft, there is no need to replace it all; a benefit over other pumps on the market that have one continuous shaft from head to motor.
