The Gemmecotti VP Side Channel Pump range is made up of the VPM, VPS and VPL models of liquid ring pumps and is designed for pumping corrosive, toxic and flammable gases. These liquid ring pumps attain a vacuum by isothermal compression, most gases and vapours can be removed, and they are particularly suited for condensate and liquid compositions in demanding conditions. Sealing is maintained by either a magnetic coupling or mechanical seal. The magnetically coupled pump ensures maximum safety and efficiency by eliminating the risk of any corrosive liquids leaking from the pump. Another benefit of eliminating the seals for magnetic drive pump models is that it gets rid of associated friction loss, wear and noise, meaning cost-effective and efficient pump operation.
The side channel pumps are fully compliant with recent ATEX area certification requirements. Typical applications of the Gemmecottie VP liquid ring pump range include; Corrosive, toxic, noxious and carcinogenic gases, Hydrocarbons, pyrophoric and other flammable gases. For more information on how a side-channel pump operates, as well as the applications it is most suited to, read our guide.
The Gemmecotti VPM-VPS-VPL Series liquid ring pumps are available with the following material options:
AISI 316 | 316 L | ALLOY 20 | HASTELLOY - C | TITANIUM | |
sCasing | X | X | X | X | X |
Impeller | X | X | X | X | X |
The Gemmecotti VP side channel pump range is designed for transferring highly corrosive, toxic, noxious and carcinogenic fluids. Being available as the magnetically coupled pump, the Gemmecotti VP pump series is a preferable option where a reliable chemical pump is required
The Gemmecotti VP liquid ring pump is designed with maximum safety in mind and provide an efficient and reliable operation. In addition, the magnetic drive pump models have a seal less design and high chemical resistance, making them an ideal pumping solution for highly corrosive applications
