The Azcue BT-LS-V Long Coupled Triple Screw Pump is a large, heavy duty model characterised by its significantly higher flow capabilities than the other screw pumps in the Azcue range The BT-LS range is technically optimised for the high efficiency handling of low viscosity fuel down to 1.5cst at 40°C (ISO8217:2005) as well as low sulphur 0.1% (EU/SECA-33-EC) as per the new specifications indicated in the in EU directive 2005/33/EC.This, combined with its high flow makes the BT-LS self priming screw pump ideal for the transfer of large volumes of low sulphur fuels.

Being long coupled, these self priming screw pumps are easier to maintain as you can get to the pump head without removing the motor first, and are also more durable for continuous use as it has additional bearings in the pump head to share the strain of operation. This triple screw pump is vertical in design with inline suction and discharge, ideal for space saving applications, whilst achieving flow rates only obtained by large pumps.

The nature of the screw pump design means it can be used where suction capabilities are difficult such as pumping over long distances or where the pump is located above the fluid.

Marine Gas Oil Conversion for Ferry Operator - Screw Pump

A UK ferry operator required a verticle inline screw pump with Lloyds approval, due to undergoing a marine gas oil conversion. The customer needed the pump in 3-4 weeks in order to meet the vessels dry docking program. Castle Pumps supplied a vertical inline screw pump in just over 3 weeks, complete with marine certification. In result of our quick response and supplying the pump within the time needed, we were also asked to supply a DN80 strainer and flowmeter suitable for MGO.
