Fume Scrubber Pumps Page 1

Marine scrubber pumps for exhaust gas scrubber systems

As a result of the low sulphur emission legislation, ship owners are having to move to using low sulphur fuel or alternatively install on board exhaust gas cleaning systems known as fume scrubbers or exhaust scrubbers. Scrubber systems are designed to protect the environment from chemical gases released in fumes. A fume scrubber pump is required to circulate neutralising fluids such as caustic soda, which help to treat the fumes and ultimately reduce what is released into the atmosphere. In order to handle the harsh conditions posed by the corrosive chemicals used in the process, the range of exhaust scrubber pumps Castle Pumps offer are robustly constructed of duplex stainless steel. As well as in marine scrubber systems, fume scrubber pumps are also used in industrial applications for the neutralising of manufacturing and diesel exhaust fumes.
