Booster pumps for increasing water pressure and flow
Booster sets are usually a system comprising of a one or more pumps, a tank and control panel all mounted on a baseplate. They are used to increase water pressure and flow in houses and high storey buildings where water main pressure is insufficient or demand is too high to be fed by existing means. Water authorities only have an obligation to provide 1 bar pressure and a flow rate of 9L/min. The pump can usually be either a horizontal or vertical multistage pump controlled by a frequency inverter ensuring the pump only supplies the flow and pressure that is required.
