Triple screw pumps for fuels & oils
Screw pumps, part of the positive displacement pump family, are most commonly utilised for the transfer of fluids with lubricating properties such as fuel, oils and lube oil. The screw pump is a versatile pump as it is able to handle fluctuating flow rates and pressures without losing efficiency. Included in our range are both twin screw pumps and triple screw pumps. Whilst gear pumps are suitable for many similar applications, screw pumps have many advantages over this design. Read our comparison guide here.
Popular applications in which screw pumps are commonly utilised include:
Fuel oil separating
Screw pumps also benefit from a smooth, low pulsation method of pumping. This prevents foam from occurring that some pumps create when pumping fluids of high viscosity. The installation of this type of positive displacement pump is also very flexible in that it can be mounted in both vertical and horizontal positions.
The triple screw pump design means that it has a controllable flow rate and is therefore ideal when a variable flow is required. Essentially, by doubling the size of screw pumps or the size of their motors, you are able to double the rate at which they pump the fluid.
