Solid Handling Pumps
High Solid Handling Pumps For Abrasive Fluids
The nature of fluids with solid content can vary widely from highly abrasive stones and metal shards, to clogging solids such as rags and tissue to softer, malleable particles. Solids transfer pumps are therefore used in a variety of industries with differing requirements. Some solid handling pumps are designed to grind and cut down the solids such as in sewage applications, whereas others need to pass the solids safely, keeping them intact such as in food applications. Other solids pumps need to be able to handle viscous, high solid slurries e.g. waste products, whilst some are for transferring thin, water based liquids containing debris. We offer a large range of solid handling pumps such as peristaltic pumps, which are capable of passing solids up to the size of their internal hose without damage, as well as progressive cavity, flexible impeller and AODD pumps. For particularly hard or abrasive solids, a larger pump is often selected to run at a lower speed to limit the abrasion.
